Trimming the trees

We decorated our trees the day after Thanksgiving.
The girls could not wait to decorate their pink and purple tree.
They did a good job putting all the ornaments in the perfect places.
I want to get a white tree for them for next year.
The pink and purple ornaments would just pop on white.
So I'm hoping the day after Christmas I can get one for a good deal.

Both putting the star on the big tree.
They had to each have a turn putting it on.
We had lots of good ornament placement
on the bottom of the tree :)
The girls and Jeremy started the tree and I started the
rest of the house.
 All done!
I love the twinkle of the lights on the trees.
It feels so festive already.
We had our own mini Thanksgiving dinner after we set up the tree.

We typically do our own mini Thanksgiving dinner so that we can have our
own leftovers.  So we pulled ALL the boxes from the crawlspace out to decorate
the house and trees.  We ate dips and cheeseball while we decorated.
Then while decorating we cooked our dinner.
The girls LOVE that they get "big girl" glasses and sparkling apple juice
when we eat Thanksgiving dinner. They think they are so grown up.
We all went around the table and said what we were thankful for,
 which included Santa coming :)
Now the tree is up, the house decorated, we have Christmasy scents burning
and it looks and smells like Christmas.
