Costume preview

Our little Snow White
Ellie is super excited to be Snow White this year,
and I have to say she makes the perfect Snow White.
She made sure I made her cheeks rosy.
And made me buy bright pink blush for her rosy cheeks.
 An apple my pretty
A spooky Witch.
 Under her spell.
The girls think Halloween can't come
fast enough.

Ellie really wanted to be a Princess this year,
and I originally had Eme a Rapunzle costume too,
but then she saw the Witch and said
"I only be Witch."
So Witch it was.
Halloween is to fun to be able to transform to anyone
you want, and the girls are loving wearing their
costumes all over the house.

Pumpkin painting time again.

We had a great day with perfect weather for painting
our pumpkins this year.
Shelly with Ava as her helper starting to design.
We usually have a pretty big crowd,
but we had to do it on a Monday due to schedules,
a girls night we had on the Saturday before.
But all who painted had fun and we got real creative.
The first year we have done gray,
and I have to say it was one of my favorites.
 Krista's perfect 31 pumpkin.
I was the official "31" glue and sparkle applier.
 The most perfect stem ever!
Loved how they all turned out this year.
I love to spray paint the white pumpkins with black paint.
 Perfect stem, perfect polka dots.
Our front porch looking so festive.
See how cute the gray turned out.
I love it!
I mean it's really hard to pick a favorite...

It really may be my favorite day of the year!
I like it even more than putting up the Christmas tree,
because you know that is only fun for 30 minutes,
then it's just a chore.
We usually paint them on a Saturday, but due to already having
our Fall girls night on the 19th, and others being too close to Halloween,
we painted on a Monday so we had a smaller than usual crowd.
But we still had fun.
Halloween is just a few short days away.
Kids CANNOT wait,
and we can't wait to take them around that night.

Pumpkin Patch Time

Last year we happened to find the cutest farm and
 pumpkin patch in Payson.
The girls got to ride ponies and do all sorts of fun things.
While Ellie's friend Mallory was over playing we decided
to go see if it was there again this year,
and it was!
{It's called A County Farm}
just off the freeway in Payson.
So darling.
There is a petting zoo with the teeniest
little goats ever.
Right there is a big barn.
I love it because it is not just pumpkins but
all these fun gourds in every shape and color you can imagine.
 They sell them all too.
Pumpkin/gourd heaven!
While waiting for our tractor ride to the pumpkin patch
the girls got their faces painted.
 Hard to see.
Two ghosts and a cobweb.
{Emery also thinks Mallory is her best friend too,
can you tell? And they are cute to include her}
 Down on the farm.
Ride to go pick our pumpkins.
 Little gems on the ground
just waiting to be picked.
We all picked out our favorite ones
then got them weighed.
We happened to stop while they were doing a festival
of some sorts, so the girls lucked out on face painting
and of course cotton candy down on the farm.
 Hay maze.
They went through like 5 times.
As we were leaving the man running the tramp
thing asked if we wanted to jump while he didn't have
anyone in line for free,
ummm heck yes!
Doing flips and all sorts of crazy things.
They looked higher than the mountains.
 My little daredevil Emery.
She is not afraid of anything.
 See higher than the mountains.
Girls could have bounced all day.
Thanks nice man for making these girls day.
The perfect pumpkin patch day down on the farm.

I was so glad to find that our little gem of a pumpkin patch/farm
was operating this year again.  I tried to find it online but couldn't.
We lucked out even more that is was a festival going on too.
We got pumpkins, rode on the tractor ride to pick them,
got faces painted, jumped in tons of corn,
went through hay mazes and jumped.
The perfect Fall day.
Did I mention this is my favorite time of year?

Utah Fall Break

Driving up the canyon to stay for the weekend at
The Bear River Lodge.
Traveling up above Kamas Utah through the Uintas.
The color was so pretty driving up.
We had rented a HUGE cabin for over Utah's Fall Break,
it is weird being on a "school schedule"
planning around kids in school now.
Our cabin had two full kitchens,
5 bed rooms and 6 bathrooms,
the upstairs had a fun loft area for the kiddos.
Plenty of room for all. It was so nice.
A few of us went up early,
we all got to explore the cabin and anxiously await everyone
else get up there.
Jeremy and I stayed up here about 11 years ago,
we snowmobiled in the winter time.
It was fun to go back up again.
 Settling in.
Oh the kids were soooo excited that other kids finally got there.
On the deck Trace, Ellie, Emery and Madson.
We ate so much yummy food the whole weekend.
My Mom even brought up a fun thing
to make smores one night.

 Baby Aspyn!
She was so good the whole weekend.
My sister Kristie and I took out her 4-wheeler
to explore some trails.  Then the girls got their first ride.
They were in heaven!
On Saturday we had a few 4-wheelers rented
and a side-by-side that fit 6.
Plus the ones other people brought up,
so we spent all day taking turns riding.
 Our ride.
Top of the mountain.
We took the 4-wheelers out for the last ride of the day,
we went looking for mud.
Yes we found it, lots.
The wild ones.
We could not keep the girls off the 4-wheelers.
Eme was being very "patient"
waiting for her turn.
 Sad it's our last day.
 The whole group.
A big Jeremy thumbs up!
We almost had a car running, keys
locked in it situation,
well we actually did have that, but glad it got opened.
 Never long enough!
Wish we had a few more days.
My sister Jill wanted a few family pics taken
while up there.
Didn't they turn our beautiful.
Then these two had to steal the show too!
Damn their cute plaid-wearing butts
for always looking so cute.
Did I mention there was snow so high up!

I can't say enough how much fun we had spending
some time away at a cozy cabin with the whole family.
We left Friday morning and came home
on Sunday, of course it is never long enough.
The cabin was so nice, tons of room for everyone.
The kids ran around, we ate tons of food,
laughed, played games and just enjoyed being together.
It was so nice to just relax.
The 4-wheelers were a blast, luckily no accidents,
no crashes.
I really hope this becomes a family tradition.
