Team Rhino Kickball

Our little #4 on Team Rhino.
We signed up Elliette for kickball in Springville this year.
As a team they picked the name Team Rhino,
but it was a toss up between Team Whales.
They had one official practice before their games,
so can you say chaos?  The kids had no idea what was
going on. But by the end they looked like a real team,
and had so much fun playing.
Ellie's cheerleaders.
At first Ellie kinda pranced to first base after timidly kicking the ball,
by the end she kicked hard and ran fast.
In fact she may be our little track star, she is a super fast runner.
Those long legs.
 Eme loved watching big sister.
On our very last game Coach Nate gave all the kids
their own medal.
 Ellie was in heaven.
She told me,
"Mom I like the medal best."

Team Rhino had a good kickball season.
This was Ellie's first organized sports that she's done.
Like I said it was kinda chaotic at first, and she was pretty timid.
But they really looked like a real team by the end of the season.
Plus it is just good for her to be on a team, learn to interact with
other kids, and just be active.
It's hard when you are a shy kid.
She loved that her coach called her fast, and he told her when
he gave her her medal to keep being fast.
Now she is super excited for soccer in the Fall.

10 year anniversary

Yup that's us 10 years ago.
Babies.
Before we had babies.
I can't believe 10 years already.
And us now 10 years later.
Still in love, still crazy about each other.
We broke out the old VHS tape of our wedding video
montage for the girls to watch, yes I said VHS.
They loved it and wanted to watch it over and over.
My hot date in a hot car
{thx Mom for the wheels}
We took my Mom's car up to Park City to celebrate.
We ate at the Edge Steakhouse in Park City.
The ambiance is so trendy.
I love it.

Did I mention my sister Sid is Sous Chef?
She just got the title,
we couldn't be more proud!
Did I also mention it just won Best of State and
is #1 restaurant in all of Park City on Tripadvisor.
find it here.

Best food we have ever had!  EVER.
This steak, The Delmonico Steak
deserves its own photo.  By far the best steak
we have ever eaten.

We couldn't have picked a better place.
If you are in Park City go check them out,
you won't regret it.
 Darling outdoor patio seating.
This guy will always be my Superhero.
Couldn't love him more.

I hit the husband lottery when I married Jeremy.
Like with my kids I wish I could slow time down.
It's hard to swallow that 10 years has gone already.
And even after 10 years we want to spend every second together,
we make each other laugh and are best friends.
The night was perfect,
Here is to many more decades together.

Art City Days 2013

I kinda missed blogging about our Art City Days festivities.
They were the same week as Eme's birthday party.
We took the girls to the carnival on opening night.
It was super crowded the night we went,
but the girls still got to ride several rides.
Saturday was the annual parade in Springville.
The girls were super psyched to go get candy
and see the princesses on the floats.
We had a little surprise for Ellie that morning.
We decided to give her her birthday present early, a new bike,
so that she can start riding it, and her and Eme can ride together.
 She was so excited.
She wanted to ride it immediately, but we didn't have time.
 Art City Days Parade 2013
By far our favorite float all day.
It was for Wiggy Wash and filled the street with bubbles.
Kids absolutely loved it.
We always sit in front of my parents' store and
have a huge crowd.
Brookside gives out lots of balloons....
we lose lots of balloons.
Later that night we went with the Bills' and Christensens
to the Arts Park and watch a Beatles cover band.
They were entertaining and it was fun to take
dinner into the park and sit on blankets listening to the band.

When it was starting to get dark Krista and Jess had brought
all the kids glowsticks.
  Even Jim-Jim came down.
Such a fun night.
Immediately after the concert
the fireworks started.
Marking the start of Summer.

Art City Days is the beginning of Summer for me.
We go every year, sit in the same spot,
the kids get TONS of candy and then we usually BBQ
before the fireworks.
This year we decided to actually go down to the Arts Park
to watch the fireworks and listen to the Beatles cover band.
It was a perfect Summer night and the kids loved it.

Father's Day BBQ

Our chalkboard collage pic we did for Daddy as a surprise.
Jeremy had no idea we had done it and he loved it,
said it was his favorite gift.

I wanted a real response from the girls
on why they loved Daddy.
I asked Ellie "why do you love Daddy"
and she said
"well he plays with me, he dances with me."
"Mom..he's a REALLY good dancer.  He twirls me and spins me"
Then I asked Emery and she said,
"I like my Mommy"
it was so funny!  We talked about the park and library and
she agreed he does all those things with her.
We had for little family bbq on Saturday
since Jeremy was flying on Sunday.
Upcycled the tablecloths from Eme's party.
My sister Jill with baby Aspyn.
Everyone listening to one of Jim's stories.
{probably talking about a new pair of shoes}
:)
So lucky this guy is the daddy to our little girls.
Hands down the best Dad in the whole world.
This does not even reflect all the food we had.
Always way too much.
The girls surprising Jeremy with his picture.
These girls love their Daddy.
Jim take off the Snuggie! haha
My Dad is ALWAYS cold.
Honestly it was 88 degrees that day.
 Happy Father's Day Jer!
Love you more than you will ever know.
 Our whole group.
Kids jumping in their new tramp.
Endless entertainment.

I was so excited to give Jeremy his picture,
and even more surprised that the girls kept it a secret.
The girls were so cute giving it to him.
We are so lucky to have him,
he plays endless hours with the girls, reads them stories,
takes them to the park {even when he is the only man there with kids},
is patient, kind, loving, funny, nurturing, and a fun Dad,
he is not intimidated to do their hair, he kisses their boo-boo's away,
dances with them, and tucks them in at night.
He has always been a very hands on Dad,
and I can't express how much I love him.
I'm thankful he had such great examples growing up,
and is instilling those great qualities he learned in our girls too.

It was fun to celebrate some of the men in our lives
at a little Father's Day BBQ.
And glad Jeremy was here to be part of it.
Happy Father's Day to all!
