On our way to Shreveport!

The whole group Kevin, Jer, Emery, Ellie, Me, Steve
We did lots of this.....Eating!
Grandpa Bogard and Emery, This was the first time Grandma and Grandpa had seen Emery
Emery in Pappy Steve's chair from his childhood
Ellie just chillin
Happy girl! The girls were both extremely good the whole trip I was almost wondering whose kids they were.
Karaoke time! Ellie did not want to put down the mic.
I LOVE the history and antiques of Shreveport, these are the actual knobs in Steve and Kevin's house
A view from the back yard
Do you love the swirly iron rods as much as I do? Next time we go down I am taking family pictures there are amazing places EVERYWHERE! This is right behind their house.
Pappy and Ellie at Strawn's Pies
We had passed by this place and I had to stop, is it not darling. And yes the most AMAZING pies ever!
Emery and Grandma. Of course Grandma was right down playing with both the girls the whole time.
uh-oh there's trouble! making dinner, one of Paula Dean's recipes, surprise no butter in it.
Is your mouth watering?
Kevin slicing into the pie we bought
4 generations
Emery being spoiled by all those boys
She was seriously lacking on the attention the whole trip :)
Where are my gold stars? Because these two earned theirs by being the best girls flying ever. {and long story but Jeremy did not fly home with us he had to connect through Denver, so they were extremely good}
Ellie thought it was fun riding Dad's bag around the airport. We had the most amazing visit to Shreveport. This was the first time G'ma and G'pa Bogard had seen Emery since she was born, {she is almost 10 months.} I flew all by myself with the girls from SLC to Dallas, then Dallas to Shreveport. I knew the girls would be good flying, I was just worried about security by myself, and folding the stroller and taking off the carseat. And yes I am an extremely light packer, one bag for the 3 of us, plus just the diaper bag. Security was easy they helped my lots. The rest was a little stressful, but not as bad as I thought. Ellie was so excited to fly, she stayed right by my side, never ran off. So I was not chasing her and trying to manage all the other stuff too. We had amazing flights out, wide open. I know shocking, that never happens. A mom with kids my kids' same ages sat close to us, both our girls played play-dough and watched our DVD player. It was so nice! We got on an earlier flight to Dallas since it was delayed=bonus! We arrived on Saturday, Jeremy flew in on Sunday. He had been in Key West with all his friends for a bachelor party {I know rough life} we were excited when he came. We spent lots of time at Grandma and Grandpa's, cooked lots and ate lots.I could spend hours driving around down there, the houses are amazing, so much character. We had such a nice visit, it started with an early flight Saturday, and getting home real late Wednesday, so I am still beyond exhausted. But is it so worth the traveling so see everyone. Hope we can go down soon! G'ma and G'pa watched the girls one night and the adults went to dinner. Ahhhhhh a dinner where you actually remember what your food tasted like. This is a picture of the menu, I was laughing so hard because I had never heard of "puffy tacos"
I am not sure why, but I think stuff there is so funny, maybe just to me
but remember the Moonshine Syrup? {side note my camera or card was having an issue, it had said unrecognized format, then some of my pictures were half cut off, and weird things. We took pictures by the blooming wisteria and none turned out. I can see them on my camera, but not on the computer. Weird and sad.}
