Christmas 2010

Ellie found the stickers
Christmas Eve dinner at GG's house the first time in 12 years we have been home to go, There was so much yummy food!
We read the Christmas story, all the kids were shepherds and wisemen
Then there was a knock at the door and we heard jingle bells. There were presents on the doorstep pjs for all the kids.
Emery's Christmas pajamas
{*Note to self next year get the same pjs for the girls} Ellie wanted Emery's Snowmen pajamas

At the hospital visiting my Dad. This was the first time my girls got to see him in 8 days. Since children under 12 are not allowed in the ICU.
Spending more time in the ICU waiting room
Yup you guessed it, off to the hospital
Christmas morning.
Presents from Aunt Candice
The Omlet station
Kat and her hot chocolate We had a hot cocoa bar too
Sid the Chef! making omlets
Did you know you can toast marshmallows in your oven? Put them on wax paper and on broil, just DO NOT take your eyes off of them
Sid and Nick fixing the omlets and biscuits and gravy
Mom making her omlet in a bag. Some we did in bags and boiled them, others Sid cooked for us This Christmas has been so different than any other we have had. For one, we are actually home. For the past 12 years we have went on vacation over Christmas. But with my Dad having a heart attack and being in ICU for 9 days {he is still there} we canceled plans and stayed home. Jeremy was actually home on Christmas Day, I am still in shock! So we had a nice dinner at GG's house on Christmas Eve, visited my Dad at the hospital then came home and got ready for Santa to come in the morning. We actually had to wake Ellie up! Everyone was coming at 10 for breakfast at our house, we had to get the present opening started. Krista had given me this fun idea to make omlets in zip lock bags, everyone puts in the toppings they want and then you boil them. We had all the eggs whipped up and fluffy. Some people did that, then we called on Sid to cook some for us too {she is a chef at Little America so her omlets are amazing!} I am sure she loved cooking on her day off :) After we ate we all went over to the hospital and visit my Dad again. We had a magical morning with the girls. Elliette was so fun this year, and Emery loved chewing on everything close to her. Merry Christmas!!!!

Reindeer "Hungy"

Elliette is helping to make Reindeer food
We will sprinkle it outside for the reindeer to munch on while pulling Santa's Sleigh
SPARKLES! So it shimmers in the moonlight
This is the first year we put out reindeer food Ellie kept saying "Reindeer eat food, hungy" Ingredients: Oats, sugar and sprinkles We made a bag for Ryah too
"sprinkling" the reindeer food or really just dumping it in one place
Hope this helps guide Santa's sleigh to our house
Ryah and Ellie "Sprinkle this reindeer food outside tonight. The moonlight will make it sparkle bright. As the reindeer fly and roam this will guide them to your home." We actually got around to making our reindeer food, I wasn't sure if we would since we have been at the hospital so much. But we did, and Elliette had so much fun making and sprinkling it around the yard. She was saying "reindeer hungy" and "eat a food" I guess it worked because Santa found our house and dropped off things for both the girls today.

Once there was a snowman

Because we had THIS much snow
Ellie and Jeremy decided to build a snowman ...and yes she is STANDING!
Let's have some fun in this snow!
Ellie building her very first snowman
Just her size
Guess they couldn't find any "proper snowman attire" so rocks will do for the face
Come here often?
Kisses!
Elliette was so excited to build a snowman
The snowman of 2010 in the big storm of 2010
Can you believe she is standing here we got 20 inches
Having so much fun
This is how much it snowed in one night
And now the not fun part of a heavy snowfall...shoveling out of your driveway
That's one BIG snowball! I can't remember getting this much snow since I was a child growing up in Utah. They actually canceled school! WHAT! We never got a snow day! Jeremy had to shovel me out a path to even get out of my driveway. I am glad he was home, I would have never been able to do it. The snow was so wet and heavy. It was up to his knees in places. When I looked out our window in the morning, looking down on the snow, I was like think I can punch it to get out? Ummm, ya it was up to my bumper. So while I worked Jeremy and Elliette decided to build a snowman. Ellie had so much fun. Jeremy said she was soooo excited. Too badthe snowman has fallen due to the stupid rain we are getting. Hopefully we can go sledding soon and save some snow for a white Christmas! {Thank you for all the love and prayers for my Dad, we really appreciate it} "Once there was a snowman, snowman, snowman once there was a snowman tall, tall, tall. In the sun he melted, melted, melted In the sun he melted small, small, small"
