Tubing and Dinosaurs

Once again we made it up to Jolley's Ranch
to go tubing. The Bills' met us up there and we had a blast.

The most stylish tubers on the hill
look at these little twins
getting ready to go down
Daddy and Elliette
Jess and Joe
all the coats eventually made it in this tree, it got hot
hmmmm, who is from Utah and who is from Florida?

I did actually go down once
Jer, Joe and Addy
Jess and AddyAddy going down the hill without a tube
The last run of the day
Zonked out in the car
little does she know we still have activities planned
After tubing we met Kelly, Melissa and Asher
at the Dinosour Museum at Thanksgiving Point
Yeah finally a computer she can play on

digging for fossils
Ellie and Asher

Yesterday was a fun-filled day. We met Joe, Jess and Addy up the canyon for a little tubing. The kids loved it. The guys LOVED hauling them up the hill a million times, well Addy did walk most of the time. It was such a nice day, it actually got warm and everyone was stripping off their coats and gloves. Addy had fun just going down the hill in her snow pants, no tube required. A bunch of Joe's family was there so all the little kids had fun playing together, we even sent Addy, Ellie and a cousin down on a tube together alone.
After seriously no nap, a crazy Wal-Mart tire experience (long story) we showered quick and met the Jordan's at the Dinosour Museum. Asher is like Mr. Museum, they have a pass and go all the time so he knows that place in and out. Ellie loved every bit of it. We had made reservations at Texas Roadhouse, which was the most insane crazy crowd of people waiting to get in that I have ever seen. We waited a bit, thank goodness we called ahead though.
Needless to say we were exhausted when we got home, but had such a fun time.

The results are in...

We just got back from the ultrasound and yup another little girl. I think we are still in shock, we thought a boy was in our future. Guess we won't be breaking the Jordan girl curse. The ultrasound was really good, everything looks healthy.
We need girl name suggestions!!!!!

Shreveport

On the way to Shreveport
asleep in Dallas
The people in this grocery store probably thought
I was nuts, but I was taking pics of everything
but look, how can you not take a picture
of Moon Shine Syrup
Have you ever seen syrup in a can? Weird
Grandma Bogard
Grandpa Bogard
Shaelyn fell asleep, but Ellie really thought
she needed to get up and play
On our way to Jefferson Texas
Okay seriously 16 oz pepsi and pork rinds
They had more pork rinds in Louisiana than I have
EVER seen!
The best part, lots of drinks in glass bottles
and they are cheaper than the plastic. Weird huh?
This is the type of stuff they have in Louisiana
This stuff was called butt rub
I was seriously laughing so hard at all the crazy
stuff they had
And Texas loves Dr. Pepper
Have you ever seen Dr. Pepper beef jerky?
Look @ the weird marinades
they also had bbq sauces out of these too

The absolute cutest little general store you have ever seen
with a real soda jerk inside
Jefferson Texas General Store
The gang
Jefferson is full of cute stores and antique shops
Joelle and Ben
The boys playing games
in another old fashioned candy store

Jeremy and Steve
The girls stayed @ Grandma's while we went site seeing

This place reminded me of New Orleans
This is another town we went to
it is where they filmed Steel Magnoliashis

When we came home, this is what we found...
both playing "drums" and wearing coats and
stocking hats. Silly girls
asleep again in Dallas
riding the tram!

We just got home from a quick weekend getaway. We had so much fun in Shreveport seeing Jeremy's family. Steve and Kevin took us on a couple day trips to the absolute cutest towns I have ever been to. The streets were the old brick roads and tons of antique shops, diners, general stores and old fashioned candy shops. We loved seeing everyone, Shaelyn and Elliette loved playing together and staying with G'ma and G'pa. We ate way too much yummy food, and no I did not have any pork rinds I wouldn't even try them. But if I wanted to they had about a millions flavors to choose from at every gas station. We also got to go out gambeling one night, so we packed lots in to our quick trip. We can't wait to go back.

18 Weeks

Lots of 18's around here, my baby girl is 18 months and I am 18 weeks along. This pregnancy is flying by! I seriously can't believe we find out in 2 weeks. I thought since last time I took pics of the belly I better this time (everyone says the 2nd gets neglected in photos) I am showing a lot sooner than last time, guess that is the 2nd pregnancy thing. I still feel really good and just hope it keeps going as fast as it has been.

18 Months

I can hardly believe our little girl is a year and a half! She is jabbering all the time, and saying more and more words every day. She is very opinionated, thank goodness she is so cute to get away with it. She makes us laugh every day, and we are amazed at all that she picks up from us. She loves to wear silly things and "get dressed up", she always has something on her head or Mom's sunglasses on. She climbs into everything and likes to be in the sink when I do her hair. I think she will be a big help when the baby comes.

This Christmas was full of fun and memories. Christmas Eve morning the three of us got up and opened presents, then just after that headed up to SLC for our annual Christmas get away. We stayed close this year, gearing up for Cancun next year. We stayed up way too late, ate way too much and laughed our heads off. Thank goodness Valyn got us a whole wing to ourselves because we were loud! Late nights of Rock Band and kids running wild. I love our trips, we all look forward to them every year. My Mom and Aunt always go all out, and the Hatch's are a blast to go with. They are always up for anthing.

Christmas Eve....is tonight

Tonight is our Christmas Eve, Jeremy is off tomorrow and who knows after that, probably flying. So we will be waking up, opening gifts and then off the the annual Jordan/Hatch family get away. I was writing my packing list and laughing because I had swimsuits and snow clothes on it. Let me tell ya I am really excited to be pregnant and in a swimsuit in the middle of winter as white as snow to top it off. I think Jeremy is more excited than Elliette, he keeps asking her if she knows what are in his gifts. Which is funny because most of our gifts are out and open and being used already. Wonder what little elves Shirlene and Valyn are going to be this year? Either way it is guarenteed to be hilarious (pics to come after)
Hope everyone has a very MERRY CHRISTMAS!

A little opinionated

I just know that jaws are dropping all over that I have an opinionated little girl...I have no idea where she would get that from. Lately it has been over clothes...yes, already!

The too small hat she just had to wear
And yes I have a different opinion than her of her playing on my computer
she thinks it is hilarious to shrink my screen
to the point I can't get it back big
I had on my miracle socks and she had to have a
pair on too, I mean really can't blame her for that one
Again her opinion of drawing with ink pens
is different than ours. Pen marks are everywhere!
love the socks to the knees
My "chinese girl" and her opinion about helping me wrap
was tear and run...not so helpful!
This hat she either loves or hates
today she loved it and wore it with her pjs
This was her first ponytail
so cute! her hair is so long and I love it

I just know I am in trouble having a girl in general, and one who thinks she knows what is best
for her @ 17 months I am going to be in for it. Elliette is at such a fun stage, she makes us laugh every day. Now for a little opinion of my own... I am anxiously waiting for my 2nd camera I have bought in a month to arrive. The one I just bought in "my opinion" is blurry, does 12mp not mean anything! And Jeremy and I almost bought another last night to compare to the 2nd when it comes. It sucks, just want a camera that is fast and takes CLEAR pictures. So we'll see when it arrives this week if I like this one. We finally got a real date night, in forever, on Friday. It was the best we got to go have a yummy steak, go shopping and to a movie. I can't even remember the last time we did all and not just one of those activities together without Ellie. It was soooo nice. (side note: The Blind Side is a must see!) I can't wait for Christmas, although no presents under the tree yet, yes someone has a different opinion about opening them than we do! haha what are you going to do, love that little busy butt!

now the fun part...presents
Jen is a little too excited for the moose!
Jess!
Whit (the host)

I can't believe another year has come and gone. We had our Annual Friends Chrsitmas Party and had such a good time. We always laugh way too hard, eat lots of food, try to catch up... if that is possible we have so much to say. Then we play the same game, the one where you can steal the gift. Which this year was more mellow than years past. You may think you have the best friends in the world, but sorry to say I do! I love you all! Thanks for all coming and those who traveled down to be there, it wouldn't be the same without you all there. See you next year!

New recipe site

Okay I have been inspired (by Krista) to make a site for all my recipes, mainly to keep them in one place. So here it is, so far not much on there, but I'll keep adding!
Enjoy!

This girl was such a stinker,
sorry Whit!
I am amazed she got any shots at all
These are a couple of my favs

Whit is so patient with cranky too cold, too hungry 16 month olds! Thanks for editing them when you should have old done a few! You are the best, I think we are indebted to you forever! I even have started working on my Christmas card so one less stress before the holidays.

Lots to be Thankful for!

After Thanksgiving dinner
we went to New Moon, the whole fam!
Jim-Jim even liked it
Thanksgiving @ GG's
The spread
"Lava Lime Rickey"
My mom went all out this year on her secret dessert
it had special effects and all
heading to the SF light parade
seriously need to get this kid a beanie, haha
with the Christensens
and the Florences

Elliette was so bundled she was puffy and
couldn't put her arms down
Talan, Krista and Jason

This year we have lots to be thankful for, our growing family, an amazing daughter, my husband working in a job that he loves and a roof over our heads. Thanksgiving was so much fun, I got to tell my family we're expecting, then enjoy GG's cooking, followed by New Moon....again. Then black Friday shopping @ 2am, followed by the SF light parade, which was soooo much fun. We laughed so hard at some of the things going down. That is our new tradition. So hilarious!

The "secret" is out

The big sister
little bro or sis due to arrive 6.10.10
Yup I'm pregnant, #2
telling Nanny, she had no idea

Well for some it has not been a big "secret" but now it is out, we're having another baby in June and are so excited! I am feeling good and we are so happy!
